B.Tech in Design: New Program Launch by IIT Delhi in 2025

The Department of Design at the Indian Institute of Technology has launched a new undergraduate four-year program named B.Tech in Design. This program will take initiative from the academic year of 2025-26 and students who wish to pursue this course will have to pass the JEE-Advanced along UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design) & Designing Aptitude Test. 

This unique program is primarily designed for empathetic and creative minds to understand the socio-technological systems around them and develop solutions to difficulties within these systems. With studying systems design concepts, technologies, analytical methods for analyzing social engineering systems, communication and presentation skills, and teamwork B.Tech in Design will stand for the students. 

This is an interdisciplinary program that combines technical and design strengths. It encourages unique integrated learning strategies such as program discovery and understanding as technology learning does and explores individual and creative leaps such as program learning. 

IIT Delhi has a large number of departments/facilities/schools that specialize in science, engineering, control, humanities, social sciences, and coverage. Being a part of this larger ecosystem, this program is expected to harness the existing strengths of the Institute as nicely. This course might offer programs, with approximately half of the guides belonging to the basic concept of design and the relaxation coming from different departments, centers, and colleges (just like the alternative B.Tech.
