The Balaji Education Trust established the Guru Kashi University in the state of Punjab near Shri Damdama Sahib, Talwandi, and became the pioneer in the field of education. The Guru Kashi University was established in 2011 by Act No. 37 of the Punjab State Legislature. The Guru Gobind Singh Polytechnic is the first-ever institution that was established in 1998, and later, undergraduate and postgraduate courses were added. Later, a number of colleges were added to the university, named Guru Gobind Singh College of Engineering and Technology in 2001, followed by GGS College of Education in 2005, GGS Institute of IT and Research, and College of Nursing in 2006. Since then, Guru Kashi University has trailblazing the quality of education by meeting the needs of local, national, and international competitive landscape.
The Guru Kashi University also caters to the needs of agriculture and has started several programmes in the College of Agriculture. Guru Kashi University has accreditation from several statutory bodies, including AICTE, UGC-DEB, ICAR, and PCAR, and it is an NAAC (A++) graded university.
