Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the new registration for all courses in the July 2024 session without any late fee till October 31, 2024. The exception to this extended registration period is for students enrolled in semester courses or certificate courses conducted by IGNOU. Students can fill out the registration form for July 2024 from the IGNOU main website. The last date for new student registrations for the year 2024 is October 31, 2024, for all courses offered in July 2024 on the ODL/online platform, except semester courses and certificates. The last time when IGNOU extended the date was 15th October and proceeded to the earlier scheduled on 30th September.

 

Eligibility Criteria for Registration 

All students who want to get registered through the ODL/Online programs of the IGNOU must meet the eligibility criterion for the respective course if they are looking for registration. 

 

  • For Undergraduate Courses:

Students must have passed Class 12th through any recognized board such as CBSE, or ICSE. 

 

  • For Postgraduate Courses:

Students are required to be graduates from a University recognized by the UGC (University Grant Commission).

 

Required Documents for Registration

Students must upload all the documents for each of them that should be in the below-mentioned sizes while registering for IGNOU:

 

  • Passport size photo: 100 KB
  • Signature: 100 KB
  • Scanned Academic Certificates: 200 KB
  • Caste certificate (for SC/ST students): 200 KB
  • Proof of work experience (if any): 200 KB

 

How to Apply for Registration:

All the procedures for the registration process are provided below.  

 

  1. They must log in to the official website of the IGNOU first.
  2. Check the eligibility criteria of your desired course for which you want to get registered.
  3. Prepare all the documents according to the specifications set by the IGNOU.
  4. Confirm your details and pay the registration fees.
  5. Save or print a copy of the confirmation receipt and email it back in case you need it afterward.
