Eligibility Criteria for GAT-B/ BET Exam 2025
Candidates are recommended to check the BET and GAT-B 2025 eligibility criteria before completing the application form, as those who do not meet the requirements will be denied admission. Candidates can review the criteria for each exam, which are listed below:
GAT-B Exam 2025
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree from a recognized university in one of the following fields: physical, veterinary, fisheries science, agricultural, biological, pharmacy, engineering, or technology.
- Graduates of four-year BSc (Physician Assistance Course), Medicine (MBBS), or BDS programs are eligible to apply.
- Aspirants must hold Indian citizenship.
- Must have received a minimum percentage of 60 to 65 percent in the unreserved category.
- Candidates from reserved categories, such as scheduled castes (SC) and scheduled tribes (STs).
- Aspirants must be 28 years old by the deadline for applications.
- Candidates from the unreserved or general category are not eligible for age relaxation.
- Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe have a five-year age relaxation, which means they can take the test until they are 33 years old.
- Female candidates are, however, offered a three-year age relaxation. As a result, they have until the age of 31 to attempt it.
NTA BET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree (BE/BTech/MBBS) and a master's degree (MSc/MTech/MVSc/MPharm/Integrated MSc/MTech) in any topic relating to life sciences, biotechnology, or biology.
- Applicants in their last year or waiting for final semester results can also take the BET exam.
- Candidates must have a minimum qualifying percentage of 60% (for general, EWS, or OBC categories) or 55% (for SC/ST/PWD categories).
