Students in its schools across the nation will attend Bharatiya Bhasha Camps, as per a statement issued by the CBSE.  Details will be announced in a message that will be released shortly.

CBSE intends to organize Bhartiya Samar Bhasha camps in all Indian schools that are affiliated with it. The camps will be conducted during the summer holidays this year.

The focus of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 on multilingualism and cultural sensitivity acted as the guiding factor behind this initiative. The programs aim to help children learn an additional Indian language.

By 20th May, 22 Indian languages will be taught in a short course based on published and standardized guide materials by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).

These resources will be available on the internet.  Audio-visual support will be given by NCERT, State Councils of Educational Research and Training (SCERTs), and District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs).  There is some programming also on the PM-e-Vidya channels.

The camps will be organized during summer breaks, and timetables will change from place to place according to local academic calendars.

Since the nodal agency, NCERT, will provide instructional content and technical support, State Education Departments, SCERTs, and DIETs will coordinate the activities at the state and district levels.

There will be 75–100 children in each camp for 28 hours on a school day.  Word-building, cultural instruction, worldly debates, confidence-building activities, and introductions will be included.

The schools will determine the languages to be taught based on regional teacher availability and regional need.  Besides existing music, art, or language teachers, they may also utilize community volunteers.

The program focuses on functional communication through interactive activities such as following directions and role-playing about shopping.

Seven-day activity starts with an introductory session, then virtual visits to cities, history, and cuisine around town. There are student performances, language competitions, and certificate awards on the final day.

Schools are advised to set up Bharatiya Bhasha Clubs so that students can practice regularly.

Participating schools have to present online reports in the form of photographs for their activities.

Under the "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat" mission, the program preserves India's linguistic diversity and promotes national integration through language instruction.
